As a member of Young Rosemary Missionary Baptist Church Gospel, we have the privilege and responsibility to praise the Lord in song. Our vocal groups have the passion for worship and praise in leading the congregation's focus on Him in our Sunday Services and other scheduled services. Being a part of the choir(s) not only enhances our lives, as we teach and admonish one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, but we are also directly involved with the impact on countless of lives for the glory of God.
About the Young Rosemary Gospel Choir
Perform black gospel and spirituals with a diverse group of people. Creating and maintaining a culture of inclusion. Serving the general public with free and no-cost performances. Perform at public, artistic, faith, and commercial events. Assisting other nonprofit organizations in their outreach efforts. Collaborate on multi -cultural musical projects. Inspire and educate the public about the cultural, historical, and political context of spirituals and gospel music.
The power of the human spirit and its ability to surpass limitations and biases. The building and sustaining of a diverse and inclusive community that embraces all people. We have an organizational responsibility for modeling integrity, respect, and peace and our role as a positive example within the interfaith community. The black gospel and spiritual music traditions are used as a musical tool to educate and strengthen the community.
That songs have the power to transform lives and to unite people and as it challenges each of us to be a positive agent of change. We strive to be a culture of inclusion as we serve as a model of a greater vision for the world. The value of service to the community and the world and acknowledge that everyone has a sole voice, and that every voice is important. When communities take active responsibility for the struggles, as well as the successes, of all people, communities are more likely to thrive.
